How to Make Dried Pineapple Flowers | No Added Sugar
Making dried pineapple flowers is the kind of project I like to undertake when I'm in the mood for a little 'lazy creativity.'
That translates to feeling like I'm doing something productive, without really putting in any effort.
If only going through life could be just this easy.

Mellow Yellow! My oven dried pineapple flowers. |
To make these dehydrated pineapple flowers, just thinly slice up fresh pineapple, pop the slices in the oven for a really long time and go do something else. The end result is a batch of sunny, chewy pineapple flowers.
There's no added sugar in these dehydrated pineapples, just the natural sugars that concentrate as they dry out. So these pineapple daisies make for a healthy little snack.
My favourite way to use these dessicated pineapple flowers are as pretty cake decorations and cake toppers.
They can also be used a a garnish to make beautiful cocktails. Hello Tequila Sunrise!

If you don't want to use an oven, you can sun dry these pineapple flowers on a hot terrace.
Place them on a wire mesh and leave them out in the sun to dehydrate. Be sure to cover them with a light mesh, so that the birds don't carry them away.
